Een combinatie van voetstappen op de steentjes van het perron die treinpulsaties worden en een visuele heartbeat (gebaseerd op "cardiographies") die een afterglow uitbeeldt; een restant van een fosforescerend ei.
"EGG IR TRAINS"
Een fosforescerend ei wordt belicht met blacklights. De visuele fade-out wordt begeleid door een stilte die in het midden onderbroken wordt door de elegante klanken van een kruising van twee treinen.
"ACCELLERATIONS"
Splitscreenstiltes. Je zit in de trein. In de trein die versnelt en vertraagt en versnelt en vertraagt. En in omkering. Repetitief.
"ABOUT TRAINS AND PHOSPHORESCENCE"
Ik vertel. Alle technische gegevens over diesellocomotieven (die ik niet ken). Over het fosforescentieproces; een beetje chemie, natuurkunde en kwantummechanica (waar ik eveneens niets over kan zeggen). Mijn woorden worden weggelaten en vervangen door mijn verhaal, in Morse-code (verdeeld over 16 sporen of tracks).

De reeks 'allereerste zwart-wit videofragmenten' uit dit onderzoek...
Filmopnames van locomotieven, voorbijrijdende treinen, belichte en uitdovende fosforescerende objecten worden boven reeds gecreëerde tapes (bewerkte opnames van treinklanken en composities die tot stand kwamen in dit onderzoek tijdens de periode 2010-2011) geplaatst wat resulteert in een audiovisueel contrapunt dat de connectie tussen beide media zowel onmiddellijk herkenbaar als in vrij abstracte vorm weergeeft. De reeks "P-stories" bevat 23 korte films die één installatie vormt die op kleine zwart-wit tv's dient te worden afgespeeld.

DOORLOOPKOP
De doorloopkop is een ruimte, een tussenruimte of een niet-ruimte.
Een laboratorium.

Via de doorloopkop, een installatie in een treinstel die bedoeld is om het doorlopen van het ene naar het volgende treinstel mogelijk te maken, geschiedt de doorloop. De doorloopkop is een gesloten systeem.
In deze tussenruimte kan ik doorloopkoppig verder bouwen, creëren en ontwikkelen. In deze ruimte komen vraagstellingen, twijfels en tegenstellingen samen. Hier ontstaan creaties die geen toelichtingen of verklaringen eisen. Het is een tussenruimte voor artistiek onderzoek die woorden doet vergeten, of doet willen vergeten. Vragen zonder antwoorden, van het ene experiment naar het andere.
De doorloopkop is een laboratorium. Percepties en impressies komen en gaan, stuiven eveneens van het ene treinstel naar het andere …
